An excellent concept
It's a way to explore things that many of us didn't like, a few of us do, and a chance to look at some of these things from a different perspective. If it's a movie/series/book/whatever that we didn't like, we have the opportunity replied-examine it and either change our opinion or become even more convinced of our position. It's an entertaining way of looking at something we found not entertaining to begin with.

Having a fan of a generally disliked or ignored piece of culture make a argument for it's worth is a great concept.
