The Connection
Can’t remember how I tripped onto Unorthodox. But I’m so glad I did. I moved to CA, in 1963, from a small town in Ohio, with a moderately small Jewish community. Today that community is essentially non-existent. There were about 10 kids my age most were B’nai Mitzvah’d and all were Confirmed. The camaraderie with these kids, our adventures with NFTY - visiting other Jewish communities in the tri-state area, then culminating those experiences at Jew Camp in Zionsville Indiana was the best Jewish connection ever. Your podcast brings me the same feeling of community I had back in Ohio without having to live there! Plus, today I get to live in the beautiful Bay Area. I enjoy this podcast very much. They discuss Jewish topics with a sense of fun and irreverence. I especially appreciate that one of the hosts is an actual right-wing (by American standards) Israeli, now living in the US and an NRA member. Most Panoply "2-or-3-people-around-a-mic" podcasts...Read full review »
