Who am I? Really?

Description
Welcome to the first episode of the Unpacking Your Indigenous Roots Podcast!  In this episode I'm unpacking what it means to live and walk in two worlds, as māori and pākehā and how I represent where I come from, and who I come from. I share some actionable, practical tips for what it looks like to step out of your comfort zone and do the deep work, the self-discovery of your own identity. I share with you my own journey of self-discovery and identity, and why I chose to head down that path of reconnecting with my whakapapa, my heritage, to find my sense of belonging.  This journey inspired me to find an acceptance and peace with my own enoughness, being māori enough, being pākehā enough, and just being enough as the person I am. And it allowed me to role model for my girls, what it looks like to stand in your courage, your knowing and your confidence as an indigenous person. I hope this episode inspires you to get curious about your own self-discovery journey. Looking for the parts of you that might be playing it small and safe, and the opportunities to chase your potential, because building awareness, is the first step towards taking action.
