why can i hear every sound her mouth makes I’m gonna vom

Uneven sound, one speaker has such low volume that in order to hear her the sound has to be turned up so high another one is crazy loud. I really wanted to hear the review of the Cardin exhibition, but it’s not going to happen here.

I was so excited when I learned of this podcast. The topics and central position of this podcast enticed me to subscribe. However every single episode I’ve listened comprises what amounts to “fun facts” one can simply google with commentary from podcasters that is pretty shallow. I wanted depth,...Read full review »

This podcast got me started on fashion podcasts, and is definitely fun to listen to. The audio quality can sometimes be quite difficult to understand, especially during interviews, and I think the episodes could be slightly more structured as sometimes it feels like we’re just listening to the...Read full review »

I always knew I liked fashion, but I didn’t really have any words to explain -why-. Enter Unraveled, the best fashion podcast for scholarly perspectives and interesting discussions. Seriously, the topics they cover are great, from gender politics to cultural appropriation to costumes in horror...Read full review »

Love this podcast! I’m a history buff and once wanted to be a designer so this hits the spot for both interests.

Insightful and informative

I wanted to like this podcast SO much. While there are a couple of informative fashion history focused episodes, it seems as if the main focus of the show isn’t fashion history. It varies, but one consistent theme is the hosts talking about themselves and their history and background. Lots of odd...Read full review »

disappointing overall--way too high a proportion of half baked college-level politics & not enough interesting content.

Really interesting topics but it’s mixed really poorly. Every time they laugh or giggle, which is WAY too often, it is ear piercing. I love fashion history and I love what they discuss. But, I think they need to invest in better post production. The sound quality is not good.

Aspects of fashion that aren’t always discussed, such as history, film, politics, etc, are given the depth of full conversation here. This is a satisfying, well-rounded listen for anyone interested in clothing beyond superficial considerations.

Unravel is the best podcast out there for anyone who is interested in the social and cultural implications of our fashion choices. It offers a unique point of view on the meaning of our clothes. Any fashion nerd will find the content to be engaging and thought provoking. Five stars!

I don't really think about fashion but this podcast peeks my interest! I really enjoy the episode about cosplay and folklore–I didn't realize that academics and fashion go together like that! Dope podcastRead full review »

I really want to like this podcast because the topics sound interesting. Unfortunately the participants use so much up speak and vocal fry that it is impossible to understand them most of the time. There is also lots of giggling at inappropriate moments. It's really too bad.Read full review »

This show is full of great history, and has a scholarly perspective on fashion that's uncommon in podcasts. The hosts are fun and have a great chemistry.Read full review »

I love this series! It is a fun and interesting way to learn popular history. Dana and Jasmine have obviously done a lot of research. Their unique perspective is both appealing and necessary in our current social and cultural environment.

Before I stumbled across Unravel, I really hadn’t considered fashion history. What I mean by that is that is that sure, I knew that fashion was a thing, but had no idea the extent to which fashion has influenced society, and vice versa. Dana and Jasmine do an outstanding job of unpacking and...Read full review »
