I just finished the podcast after doing a rewatch-along with each ep. The hosts are true fans and magic lovers, and don’t shy away from critiquing the show as well as celebrating it. Most British Thing and Grot Cabinet always made me laugh. Loved it.

They rush over the actual episode but then spend too much time being overly sensitive with what isn’t ok currently compared to the late 90’s

I love JC and it’s a genuine joy to listen to two people who also love it. I have listened to the podcast multiple times and now consider it a public service since you can’t currently watch JC on tv anywhere. Diolch both.

This is a decent stab at reviewing JC episodes. The actual episode content is skated over pretty rapidly before being judged on its merits. Not keen on the section regarding elements of the show that haven’t aged well - the “that’s not alright” section. Societal norms change and you don’t win...Read full review »

The presenters obviously love the show, the character and the subject matter, but are appropriately irreverent and enjoy picking on its flaws, which grow and grow as the series goes on. A great listen. I really won’t forgive these guys for getting me to watch the last season or so, though: it is...Read full review »

Brilliant podcast on a show that I thought had its day amongst fans. Gav Murphy and Daniel Krupa have presented a podcast that is entertaining, hilarious and informative… these two have nearly dissected everything in each episode (shame they didn’t talk about the weird detective in Satan’s...Read full review »

Gav Murphy and Daniel Krupa clearly have a lot of affection for this show and it shows in their entertaining recap of this once popular, now niche, British series. Definitely recommended for those who watched Jonathan Creek and enjoyed it back in the 90s to 2000’s but even those who haven’t...Read full review »

This podcast brings me so much joy! I plan weekend long walks around new episodes. Besides how great the podcast is on its own (funny, thoughtful, thorough) it’s been fanatic because I’ve just moved to England from the US and have learned a lot! I need more!

Loving this podcast and enjoying doing my own watch a long as I listen. Gav and Daniel have a created a real love letter to Jonathan Creek and it’s giving me all the wholesome grot content I need right now.

It’s so good to know other people out there like stupid Jonathan Creek as much as me. Now go back and start again. And this time make each pod twice as long, please.

So funny as well as insightful. I recommend watching the episode on BBC player first then listen to the podcast, you’ll get much more from it. Keep up the good work slugs!

Who knew listening to a pair of Slugs talking about a tv show that I watched twenty years ago could be so good. Will eagerly be waiting for more episodes.

I didn’t think I could love these guys any more, but then they went and made the best thing ever.

Michael. Excellent insight into the world of Johnathan Creek and Maddy Magellan. A deep dive into all the best bits (and not so great bits) of every episode so far. These boys have done their research, and there should be no question about this being the definitive Creek companion. P.S I am...Read full review »

I was an eight years old the first time I glimpsed a scene from Jonathan Creek. Looking over the stair banister at my grandma’s house in the Lake District. I remember bricking it at seeing someone on the screen bricking themselves up inside a bomb shelter. Since then, I had always been fascinated...Read full review »

Love the RKG guy’s work, but this is a well produced, funny and insightful look into a classic BBC series, highlighting the good, the bad and the grotty. Excellent work. Ps. I am waving my magic wand whilst typing this.

These lads are absolutely class in everything they do. Have an amazing/annoying knack of getting you hooked on things you had no previous interest in too.. looking at you Souls and Creek!
