“Now i am true crime pretty much all day long, and life in general I almost never cry or let my feelings get the best of me but this one is very impactful. I think because most of this is told by people who actually lived it- parents, family members, investigators, prosecutors, a lot of audio from Edwin himself. The family statements got me- how loved Kaley was and what was so stupidly and violently taken from this earth.
But most of all, Andrea Maes is such a hero! She has not gotten nearly enough attention or praise! Andrea told her story with poise and strength, and she completely did not have to. She was well spoken, she was fast on her feet in such an insane situation. I hope she is out there living an amazing life knowing her story can impact a lot of people in crappy situations. Can someone give her a medal or something? Or at least pay for her college.”
