I am so glad to have stumbled across this podcast. It has a unique way of looking at both sides and them connecting them. We really aren’t all that different are we?

Not only is Us & Them very engaging and an interesting podcast to listen to, but I am surprised by the multiple ways of looking at the topics. It’s not just black & white, but in-between too. Even though it can be hard to listen to some of the guests, they exist and it’s healthy for us...Read full review »

I listen to several podcasts on a consistent basis. This was absolutely the best episode ive ever heard. More stories like this needs to be shared. People need this. Children need to hear these stories to truly appreciate the first steps to being where we are today.

Such real, raw, and insightful information packed into one-episode stories about life among groups experiencing socioeconomic hardships such as addicted persons, low wage earners, jobless individuals and so on. The host Trey Kay did some really revealing and emotionally charged (for me anyway)...Read full review »

Have listened to this show a few times. Just listened to the Cornucopia of Change episode. Such a beautiful one! Thank you to your team and the families who shared those heartwarming stories.

“Objectivity is a luxury of the status quo”. Your self righteous, affected way of speaking and presenting information, along with your insistence on your neutrality and desire to remain unperturbed by the violent, racist, willful ignorance of your acquaintances makes your podcast cringe-worthy,...Read full review »

I can’t eat just one Lay’s potato chip, nor can I listen to just one Us & Them. Us & Them is thought-provoking, educational, and entertaining. The series is a must-add to your podcast listening. Episodes are worth listening to once, twice, and more. Like a seven-layer cookie, you’ll...Read full review »

Long time listener of Us and Them and big fan of Trey Kay. Personal disclaimer he is my dear friend. What I particularly loved about this episode was how it went from a family conversation filled with good humor and curiosity to a high level conversation connecting caveman fallacies to race to...Read full review »

How did I not know about this podcast sooner? It is WONDERFUL, especially in this Era of Trump when so many are retreating into our communities of the right-thinking and like-minded. Thank you so much!!! People who disagree or inhabit different subcultures, actually TALKING to each other, and...Read full review »

So the host says we need dialog with those who disagree. Great idea! But now we chat with a woman who believes that the Confederacy deserves honor. Keep the statues. Keep the flag. This old bat lost her forebears when the Union INVADED. She claims wealthy blacks owned slaves. But the pushback by...Read full review »

There's always two sides to a story, and they're all worth listening to. This podcast shows that and makes its audience open their ears and understand both sides. Not only for the sake of knowing but to understand and find a common ground that would unite everyone. Fantastic show!Read full review »

Every episode is so well produced and brings you into stories you THINK you can predict but then it takes you deeper...beyond your own preconceptions. This is the sort of show I want to listen to with others. Trey is masterful and taking us through uncomfrotable places to a deeper understanding.

Us vs Them is one of those podcast series that sort of fads into the background because of all the other options out there. Especially podcasts like Sword and Scale. I abhor #45. However, I have, (because of some serious distress over Hillary's loss) needed to get off of my high "blue state" horse and start LISTENING. How the hell did this happen? WHY?????? Some days I can hardly contain myself, let alone get out of bed. Then I started...Read full review »

Throughout 2016, I missed Trey Kay's Us & Them which had been posting new episodes only very rarely. I learned about U&T by way of the Big Listen pc. I have several favorite podcasts(Snap Judgment, 99 PI, Reply All) that I subscribe to and U&T has officially earned a place with them. I love this format and the window it offers on "the other side". Please keep it up Trey!Read full review »

I love how kindly this podcast deals with really difficult issues (race, gender, politics) without pointing fingers and picking sides. It doesn't make fun, it doesn't judge, but it also doesn't sugar coat. It strikes a perfect balance - it's not too precious, but it's also...Read full review »

I really like the concept, but it's not panning out how I pictured it. It would be nice to hear both sides of issues, not just the "correct" side. Trey Kay has done a remarkable job of finding the stories from both sides. If you feel passionate about any issue, he will challenge it with the “Other” narrative, and give voice to both.
