I’m sure Fil Corbett doesn’t want any hyperbole, but his podcast is so damn refreshing. Difficult to categorize so I won’t. Listen to this celebration and exploration or movement.

I have been subscribed to Van Sounds ever since I first heard an episode shared by The Dirt Bag Diaries several years ago. The latest series “Lucien” is a work of art. Living in the Eastern Sierra you can’t avoid the magnificent aspen groves. Over time I have learned to appreciate the carvings...Read full review »

Love this podcast, particularly the episodes that cover my stomping grounds from the Great Basin to Shasta. Loving the road postcards, and the baseball shirt is LIKE BUTTAH.

Smart, well produced, incredibly thought provoking and often hilarious. Let Fil’s dulcet voice seduce you with real and sometimes very untrue facts about different locations of planet earth. I learn about lots of impossibly cool stuff I would never have discovered otherwise— for instance, wanna...Read full review »

My wife and I have been living in our living full-time in our trailer the last 3+ years throughout the West. We pretty much avoid campgrounds unless we're working but this podcast is a helpful and honest reminder, both with the spoken word and subtle audio cues, to keep to the open road....Read full review »

Fil Corbitt brings you into his world. Enthusiastically embracing and celebrating the sounds and ideas found on the side of the road. Passing through from place to place the music played is exceptional and the themes and interviews always interesting.

I love the low key style and listenability of the show. Also personally enjoyed the music angle (esp. the Fugazi interview), but I might be biased since I work on a music show :) - Anna from The Future of What

My favorite stories are about you in the desert all by yourself. I recently spent 10 days in Moab contemplating the vast silent stretches surrounding me and being afraid to walk more than a few miles from my car.

Found this after the dirtbag diaries swap. Listened to them all in 2 working days. Very well done. Super clean mics. Inspiring and eventful. But apart from the show you get great new music searches to acquire and some good campfire stories to mimic. Sweet job Fil. Please keep em coming.

This podcast is super well done. Great podcast that captivates with fascinating stories from the road but it’s much more than that. Take my word for it, give it a listen and become addicted like myself anxiously waiting for the next episode. Time to roll the dice on a winner. -Joel (A Band of Gamers Podcast)
