“I moved to Brunswick County in 1984 where I started high school. Some of my closest friends were from Varnamtown. I spent many a weekend partying with, and hanging with these guys who I consider some of the most genuine down to earth people I’ve ever known! They work hard and play harder, and they’re loyal to a fault! I was always aware that drugs were plentiful and easily accessible! I did not know however the extent of the smuggling going on! I’ve enjoyed this podcast, and the stories recounted by the residents that lived through this time! I’d love to go back to 1984 and know what I know now!”
