Too many recent pseudoscience guests focused on products.
Edit since the rebrand: I think the rebrand fits much better for the podcast now. Dr. Yami is more up front about her acceptance of care that goes beyond what medical doctors normally touch on. I also have heard less product and service driven guest on the show. I started listening to the show because it had some really great information on having a healthy lifestyle while being vegan or on a plant-based diet. It really struck a great balance of having science and evidence based research while being assessable. Over the past year, I have noticed that more and more of the guests have been people selling products, and lots of these products have been more pseudoscience based. They are using the trend of cutting edge science, that we are just learning about, but then, pretending like they know the answers to them. A lot of people are talking about healing, the guts and our bacteria, and those are very important, but we really don’t quite know how to fix them besides getting fiber, the most recent episode, I listen to had a functional medicine doctor on there, and functional medicine is a great example of one of those fields that sounds great, and looks science based, but has a lot of pseudoscience undertones. I feel like older episodes, had more guest where Dr. Yami would be the person inviting guest on who were medical doctors. And now I feel like the guest are the people approaching Dr. Yami, who are actually just wanting to sell their products.
