Good but worrisome
I love the way the story is told but I am a little worried so far (e.2) that the narrator is trying to use Tim’s grief and decreasing mental health against him under the guise of looking for a serial killer. She criticizes Tim for his “juvenile” prank when in fact this story seems to be a much more elaborate prank on him to get a story. I will come back and change my review once I finish but so far- I am concerned. No one can judge what their mental health would look like after having a daughter murdered like that. Texas Equisearch does amazing work and this may derail its credibility if you imply the founder is not a good man.

Interesting story, but I find the writing mediocre - the writer is incredibly fond of dangling modifiers. The narrator has an unprofessional cadence to her speech that I don’t find appealing. Listened to E.1 and started E.2 but left.

I am only a little into the 2nd episode and personally love the way the narrative is composed. The story so far is among the best I’ve come across in all of true crime.

I’ve lived in the Houston area and have a good handle on the area of Texas Tim is from. While I sympathize with Tim’s loss and grief, I can feel in two episodes how dark his world view has become. I’m excited to see how the rest of this series unfolds. I can tell there are twists and turns coming!
