Graeme and Jeff the hosts are engaging and their enthusiasm for comics and liking of each other is very apparent. I've been deeply into comics for decades, but find a lot to make me think in their opinions and enjoy their sense of humour.

Fantastic Four is so darn good and this podcast makes it even better. If Marvel ever brings FF back for a monthly series I think that you two should write it. Excelsior!

Wait, What? is the comics podcast for you if you fancy yourself an intellectual and thought Donald Trump was going to put gay people in concentration camps. It's honestly probably the smartest comics podcast out there, and the discussion is at the level of most college courses -- but neither of...Read full review »

Love Jeff and Graeme! These guys crack me up every show. Takes me back to growing up in my local store and debating books, Tv, and movies! Can't wait until the next show as soon as I finish the most recent!

Hysterical and frank, "What, What?" is always fun to listen to. Whether it's comics, tv/movies, or whatever topic happens to send them into the weeds, it's highly entertaining and educated.
Edlockman via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/15/17
The hosts of this podcast have the most critical minds in all of podcasting. They are fair and honest when comes to reviews and are able to dissect even the most critically acclaimed comic book series out there.

Everything new is bad! Everything old is good! Ugh. If you have time for 2 1/2 hours of complaining then this is the podcast for you!

Sometimes the talk jumps to waffle talk or maybe what they think about fellini movies and that's part of the magic you never know where the convesation is going to go.

Journalistic integrity be damned, this podcast shows how deep DC/marvel bias runs. Graham was obviously a DC guy, and that's fine. Just know there is no neutral ground here when that discussion comes up. Better just to own it instead of playing at being impartial. I do really enjoy the industry...Read full review »

Hands down my favorite podcast. Mellow, fun, with knowledgable hosts and erudite conversations about everything from golden age books to manga to the comic book industry's latest attempts to shoot itself in the foot.

Knowledgeable, conversational, funny and insightful -- Wait, What? is one of the highlights of my week. I started listening because of Graeme McMillan, whose writing I've long admired, but Jeff Lester is a large part of what keeps me coming back. Neither host takes himself too seriously (unlike so...Read full review »

Wait, What? is the podcast I most look forward to hearing. Jeff and Graeme mix humor and insight in a way that is not typical for a comic book podcast. I appreciate that unlike a lot of other comics podcasts, they are not afraid to talk negatively about books, and even though their derision can...Read full review »

Comics and tangents. Good stuff.

Graeme and Jeff always have a great take on the current comic and movie news of the day, but that’s only half the fun—what’s even better are their thoughtful reviews and retrospectives (finally spinning off Baxter Building, their big read-along of Fantastic Four Vol. 1) where they mine some...Read full review »

Really look forward to this every week. Interesting and insightful, without being fannish. Occasionally brutal which is great

Funny, with a loose hangout vibe. Jeff and Graeme are smart, well-read and opinionated comics culture gadflies.

Waffle-loving, curmudgeonly, curious, cute ... Graeme and Jeff are all things - well, four at least - to all men. They're also fabulously entertaining when it comes to talking comics, telly, films, beards and many things besides. But mainly comics.

Entertaining comic book conversations with some insight and passion.

Jeff & Graeme put on a great show, where the appeal is more about hearing these guys check in with each other than the comics they are discussing. I never miss it.

Conversational and wholly delightful, this podcast is fascinating even when as a relative comics newbie I don't understand what on earth their latest tangent is about. Their free form talks mean their topics vary widely, but are always super interesting and frequently hilarious. Their analysis...Read full review »

This one, right here, is the once, bucko. And you might learn a little something along the way, too. On a personal note, I'm both in...Read full review »

Though I'm not always in the know of all the content discussed, this podcast is always enjoyable. A really good podcast! with honest critical views on comics. while there aren't any interviews with comic pros, it allows the hosts to talk openly about the industry. The only problems with the podcast is sometimes its hard to make out the Scottish accent through Skype.

I've tried the rest, and finally found the best. Jeff and Graeme have the perfect mixture of insight and analysis. I really appreciate that (unlike a lot of other comic podcasts) Jeff and Graeme really give you there honest opinion on both comics and the industry.

I'm proud to say that I've been listening to these gentlemen from their inaugural podcast. As I listen to them now, all these years later, I suspect that this must have been how my mom and dad must have felt listening to FDR's comforting fireside chats all those years ago. This podcast is great. The co-hosts allow each other space to talk and seem generally interested in the conversation rather than predominantly their own opinion. The discussion is open-minded and well articulated - except when talking about waffles. Great show.

Another enjoyable podcast. I'm hooked. Re: Catwoman - your comparison to Bendis' Alias was spot-on & kind of funny (could you take any comic Bendis wrote in 2011 & say he got it right with touchy subject matter?) But I'd compare it more directly to Ed Brubaker's Catwoman run which portrays...Read full review »

I subscribe to a lot of comic book podcasts, and "Wait, What?" is always the first one I listen to. Jeff and Graeme are awesome. Many comics podcasts tend to have hosts that are annoying, boring, ill-informed or all of thee above. This is the one podcast I anxiously await every week and is the first one I listen to when it pops up on my iPod. I rue the day they decide to go grim and gritty and pack on a lot of pouches. A great insider podcast into comics that revels its joy if Kirby and Englehart, dismissive of the cult of dark for dark's sake, and the best wolverine impression ever.

There are a thousand podcasts going on right now where two or three friends get together to talk about comics. This has to absolutely be one of the best.

The best comics podcast out there, bar none. Smart, intelligent criticism that dissects the current state of comics without fear or favour, but with warm banter and an occasional hold-your-sides moment - like the infamous 'Jack Kirby Orgasm'.
AlEwing via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 04/14/11
Jeff and Graeme provide the most intelligent (in their own way) and entertaining comics commentary out there. I've been listening to their podcast and reading their blogs since they started doing it, and I'm sure I'll continue to the end.

With so much vitriol on the net regarding my favorite past time it's nice to find a couple of guys who genuinely enjoy talking comics.
