Jumping In The Deep End with Dr. Scott Frey

Description
I first met Dr. Scott Frey when editing an episode of Choose The Hard Way hosted by Andrew Vontz and was immediately drawn to his story.  Scott is an award-winning scientist, mentor, husband, father, and lifelong endurance athlete with over 30 years of experience at the forefront of research on the relationship between the human brain, our thoughts, and behaviors.   Today, Scott joins me to discuss the lessons he has learned from parenting his children and stepchildren, how he approached raising his kids with an openness to diversity, and the challenges of navigating technology use as a family in today's world.  We also touch on defining success and finding purpose beyond achievements or possessions.  I really enjoyed this chat with Scott and appreciate his thoughtful perspective on parenting, childhood development, and living with intention. As you know my goal with this show is to have real and vulnerable conversations about the life we live as dads. A big thanks to Scott for doing just that and sharing his story this week. We will be back in 2024 with new episodes and I am really looking forward to it! I hope all of you out in listener land have a great holiday season with your friends and family.
