One of the Best
It's not hard to see why War Rocket Ajax is one of the (if not the) top comics podcast out there. Not only are Matt & Chris witty, but they're also real. I never get the feeling that they're dumping on a comic just because it's the popular thing to do. In fact, the books that they do challenge tend to be some of the more popular books. They also give a well rounded selection of books and authors, pulling not just from Marvel and DC, but delving into Image, Dark Horse, and some of the smaller presses. It's one of the few shows I've known to reach beyond the big two without attempting to ignore them all together. While Chris is one of my favorite comic reviewers, what really elevates this podcast beyond the bulk of what's out there is Matt Wilson's editorial sense and attention to detail. The episdoes never feel rushed, nor do they seem unedited. In a time where it's so easy to just record an hour and a half of talk and throw it on the web, Matt goes out of his way to make a well formatted and professional podcast...about comics, pro wrestling, five year old video games, pork products, and sometimes clown posses of relative mental instability. An excellent listen.Read full review »

WRA is one of the most consistently entertaining podcasts I've listened to. The guests are great, and the hosts manage to strike a pretty good balance between interesting commentary with ridiculous jokes and conversations about BBQ. Well worth listening to!Read full review »
