Fun, kind, interesting and actually helpful
I have to be honest, that I came to this podcast because I love the hosts' other show, and wasn't really expecting to love this one. But I do! Each episode they take a dilemma that a listener is having and give them two weeks work of concrete steps to make some headway. They never try to suggest they are gurus or therapists, what they instead behave like is your very clever girlfriend who knows you well, is great at seeing your problems more clearly than you, and who has read a ton of self help books and can distill the best ideas that they think will be helpful to you. I have not identified with all of the guests' dilemmas, but I have been surprised at how many I DID identify with in some way. And it reinforces the idea that small but thoughtful actions can make a real difference to your state of mind and your actual real life circumstances. The follow up episodes are also fun, because the community of listeners are so kind and supportive and always have interesting perspectives. It's a little ray of kind, thoughtful, loving sunshine in the week.Read full review »

I love Kristen and Jolenta!! Been a fan since the start of their first podcast and will follow them wherever they go! Great advice from intersectional feminists who aren’t perfect but who inspire me!
