The great SYNSfan & Sunderen
My favorite team of dota wise-asses (and I mean this in the most loving way possible), going on for an hour per week about e-sports, gaming and any number of random topics. What I love most about these guys is that depending on the topic one is a genius the other is insane. Personalitywise they are a perfect fit: One danish guy, who to me as a viennese person (we were voted 3rd most unfriendly city in the world) is a ray of sunshine and friendliness. To a normal person he might be seemingly mellow, but full of dark humor, sarcasm and quick-witted responses. The other guy is a US-american with what appears to be an endless lust for fast food, soda drinks and a treasure trove of funny stories. They have earned their weekly time slot in my calender! PS (don't read this if you choose to read my review out loud, because I might ramble on a bit here): I'd love to have your opinion on (mentally) handicapped gamers/gaming. I am a referee in Jiu-Jitsu and we have tried for about a decade to include "athletes of determination" (mentally/physically handicaped athletes). At the world championship in November we had them participate for the 2nd time at this competition level and everyone loved it, the crowd cheered their heart out for them, we (the referees) loved to work with them and their coaches. All in all I love the effort that was made. Do you guys think that something like that might be suitable for an allstar match? Maybe pairing up "players of determination" (as core players) with actual pro players (as supports - they probably also need to be restricted in what they can do) --> Pro players supporting "players of determination". Do you think pro players at The International would like a format like this? Do you think the audience/Dota community would like that?Read full review »
