It’s a real comfort to listen to people, from completely different walks of life, that hold the same core values and beliefs as you. I cannot pinpoint the source of my values, however, they are echoed in every single speaker here. This is such a good show. Kudos to Humanists UK for the hard work...Read full review »

What was the point of this interview? I’m confused. And frustrated. Is it just me or SB has NOT explained WHAT ARE out-of-body experiences if not paranormal? She said she has a Phd in debunking the afterlife theory yet says nothing about it. I thought I was going to learn something important -...Read full review »

I have throughly enjoyed all episodes so far. Very glad there is a third season. Tim Minchin and Joan Bakewell are my highlights so far but all in testing. Interviewer is very good, as has the knack of listening and also causing the interviewee to talk.

I joined the Bahai Faith independently in 1965. The first principle of this Faith is “ Everyone should search independently for the truth “ I cannot believe that the mass of the population are still saying I am this or that - Christian Humanist Muslim etc etc etc - simply because they are born...Read full review »

I do enjoyed the first series of interviews and Andrew Copson continues to enable his guests to share very profound thoughts and emotions. I have just listened to Joan Bakewell, always fascinating and so well worth listening to. The points she makes about dealing with the prospect of death were...Read full review »

An excellent episode of this fascinating series. Bakewell has been an ever present in my lifelong radio and tv listenership and I’ve always admired her style and even handed approach to her work. A great insight to her beliefs- thank you

I really like these podcasts, but I especially enjoyed this week’s. I’d not considered the politicisation of classics. If this subject was a comfort, a guide, a challenge to you two, why can’t we have this in state school too? How can we start to redress the balance in society if we only ‘bestow’...Read full review »

As an ex JW turned Humanist, I have found this podcast very reaffirming. Hearing others talk about my beliefs and expand on them gives me a long lost feeling of belonging. Thank you to Humanists UK for this valuable resource.

I am pleased that you are preparing more of these podcasts. I have enjoyed some more than others, but that is possibly due to my own biases. All of the episodes have enabled me to consider my own views about what I believe.

This is a very well conceived and delivered series of podcasts providing multiple perspectives on and making sense of the world we inhabit. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this podcast! It’s such a good idea to consider the similarities and differences in the way we all think. To be able to ask not only ‘what do I believe?’ but also ‘why do I believe it?’ There aren’t nearly enough philosophical podcasts out there, but this if my personal favourite!

Very smart people, speaking openly and honestly about their worldviews. Explaining their journey with just the right balance of candid and self criticism. A great listen. Thank you.

These podcasts, so far, are a little like paddling in a crystal clear babbling brook. By itself, it’s refreshing and entertaining but, every now and then as you watch the sand and gravel trickle by, you see the sparkle of pure gold. An idea, concept or explanation that deserves closer inspection....Read full review »

I have enjoyed the first three episodes of this podcast. First rate so far, and provide a good introduction to Humanism for those moving beyond religion. Thank you!
