How great is this?
Warm, engaging, humane and enthusiastically curious about both his guests and the subject of magic, this is a great podcast that welcomes listeners as fellow-travellers on the path of magic and the esoteric. Doug does a nice line in entertaining self-deprecation and wears his learning and experience very lightly - but if you’ve been around these parts long enough, you’ll notice how much he’s got going on at the back of his questions - and if you join his patreon, you’ll get some great content altogether that really help open up avenues of inquiry. And y’know, it’s nice to have a podcast of this kind to listen to that comes out regularly, and that doesn’t get entirely diverted into the conspiratainment and culture-wars end of things. Not that those aren’t fun and don’t have a place and aren’t valuable…but sometimes, you just want to listen to some people talk shop. Magic shop. If something comes up related to wider societal issues or current affairs, it’s given space, rolled around, but then it gets folded back into the main focus of the episode. And I appreciate that, especially these days. So, if you’re looking for conversation, insights and suggested approaches when it comes to magic, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

The lay out, the way the show flows, your voice, you are informative without being verbose and just the vast amount of knowledge you impart is insane and so impressive. Keep up the great work I’m listening all the way from South Africa and the similarities in tools/spells etc are incredible.

It's the best magical/occult/paranormal/supernatural/esotric/and weird podcast I listen to. Douglas is full of wonderful knowledge and...Read full review »

This is certainly my favourite occult themed podcast. It’s introduces a wide range of topics clearly, authoritatively but with a light touch and an amiable good humour which makes it very listenable. The show notes provided for each episode are very thorough and guide the listener to a wealth...Read full review »
