“Nothing is more calming than Mary Harris calmly and kindly exploring a news story.
What Next is the only news podcast I know of that interviews a journalist, then edits the interview for clarity and conciseness, stringing the clips together with simple summations. I hear this format all the time on more cerebral radio like CBC's Ideas or podcasts like The Allusionist, but never with news! I'm so glad What Next is the exception.
The result is a podcast I look forward to every day; one that I wish could go on forever. One where I'll even forgive the atrociously long ads for therapy apps and insurance!
