“Who needs snobby book reviewers on GoodReads when you have a couple of sharp, happy natured and down to earth Aussie guys doing it infinitely better.
The first shows were ropey, but raw, and thankfully it's that raw core talent to understand books and present them for an audience that's remained. This effectively is the reading comprehension we hated at school done brilliantly, and enjoyably. Two heads are definitely better than one, and it results in an enhanced yet still practical analysis of the books and topics they tackle.
Whether you're thinking of buying a book they mention, or just want to hear another person's insight on it, this is a great podcast.
I expect they will grow from strength to strength, as their service is a generous one.
