I started listening to this, not knowing what it had in store. The first season is brilliant and interesting, and I loved the interactions between all the characters. Then came the second season. And all that did was make me go back and listen to the first season again, thinking about how well...Read full review »

Every romantic relationship in the series relies on sound cues that are VERY hard to pick up on. I didn’t know anything was happening between the two main characters until I read the episode synopsis.

Good stuff first, the writing for the story and the writing for the character dynamics are great. The actual performances are all very well done, honestly not a bad performance in the series. But it has its problems. The overarcing plot feels like the generic theology plot that most people write...Read full review »

Totally have listened to more than once! Love the voice tones and how they make it more of a book. Love how this is book form! 😁 love to see & hear more

I absolutely love the chemistry between the characters and the voice work. All the performances are wonderful and I really enjoyed the development of Ed and Lucy’s relationship. I also absolutely adore the foreshadowing and call backs in the story. As others have said if you like Supernatural,...Read full review »

I tried but I couldn’t do it. I made it through 1 in a half episodes when I gave up. Horrible acting combined with terrible writing. I don’t have an issue with swearing but when your characters day 1,000 F bombs in 10 minutes it shows that you’re not creative enough to come up with captivating...Read full review »

Starts out as the X-Files, then morphs into Good Omens. Characters are great, but the writer seems to have the impression he is writing for a visual medium. Worth the time!

When I started this show, I assumed that my inability to tell what was going on was a stylistic choice or early installment weirdness. It isn’t. In fact, it’s getting harder to parse what’s happening to the characters as I go along. The core issue seems to be that the creator fundamentally does...Read full review »

Into some sort of morality tale re: neurodivergent people. There was a lot of great setup then that plot point came in like a wrecking ball.

Unique, fun, touching. Lots of good work and talent here. Great chemistry b/t Ed and Lucy. Some episodes hit personal buttons., which I like. Can’t stop listening. A couple episodes don’t seem to move the story forward (Ex. the threesome b/t Lucy Ed Prim? Seems out of character for...Read full review »

Loving it! Voice acting is great and I really appreciate the inclusion of neurodivergent characters, which is treated so respectfully - well done! Lucy and Ed are just so.. likeable!

I’ve really been enjoying this story and am interested in what happens next. I especially have been enjoying S2 (it is nice once they stop being at each other's throats). But there are also a lot of things that confuse me. It can be hard to follow the scene because not enough is said out...Read full review »

Started off with an interesting premise, but devolved into something very self-indulgent with the romantic plot between the leads taking increasingly more time away to advancing the promised end of the world. If you like shows that focus on characters struggling to become happier people despite...Read full review »

I like the fun gravity falls energy of it. Even when it handles the heavy subject matter it never goes into tonal whiplash territory and still maintains a pretty comfy vibe.

There are instances where I feel the sound isn’t quite right or that situations require more or better exposition given we can’t SEE the characters or their actions but the more I listen, the more I can feel myself falling in love with these characters.

This was a feed drop on one of my favorite podcasts Starship Iris. I started it and I am on episode 4 now with no plans of slowing down. The story is solid and the voice acting is on point! Just listen to the first episode and you will be hooked as well.

Overall, this isn’t a bad show but some of the audio choices don’t always work. There are often gaps/silences that don’t align with story so they don’t add to the drama. There is a tendency for characters to say something along the lines of “Look at that,” without fully explaining what is...Read full review »

Great story, characters, acting. Nope to preachy detours like the one about audio books and authors needing to social network. Yikes. No. A sensitivity read does not (and should not) have to mean such a yuck of a dead zone. Privacy is fine. Choices other than the ones that attempt (and will...Read full review »

Excellent show. Newt Schottelkotte is a perfect actor for this kind of show. Sounds very natural, unscripted (if that makes sense). Looking forward to hearing the next show they put out. My only complaint with the show is the short episodes. That’s annoying.
mattsmith0622 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/03/22
Not sure why the creators thought it'd be a "fun little quirk" to make the main character talk every time she eats, but it makes me want to stab her in the throat. Once could be overlooked, but when it happened again the third episode, I had enough. Shame, it has a lot of potential...Read full review »

This is a great podcast!!! From the description it sounded like a podcast I would enjoy, with a supernatural-ish, X-Files ish type story. I didn’t expect to LOVE it, and I do! I couldn’t figure out the title or the wonderful theme music (which seems a bit incongruous to the tone of the narrative)...Read full review »

The story itself is very entertaining, but their sound choices are not always great. There are multiple instances of dead air that last long enough that I’m worried the podcast got accidentally paused. There are also having breathing and grunting that don’t add anything to the narrative and can...Read full review »

My number one favorite thing about this show is that the neurodivergent characters actually feel like they were written by/for neurodivergent people. It’s not terrible, the production quality & acting are solid, but it somehow felt like a half-step up from Supernatural fanfic. If that’s your bag, you’re gonna love it.

In the span of one (far too short) season, this podcast has earned a slot as one of my favorites.
