Episodes
In this weekend's episode we cover it all! Fresh Forum Finds, traveling with watches, other nonsense. Enjoy!

In this episode Spence and Buzz talk the new Tag Heuer Skipper, the new Tissot PRX 35mm, and some other things we have tried on recently. Enjoy!

This episode reunites the original dynamic duo after some time spent as ships passing in the night. Spence and Spangler are back at it! We are sadly without the third leg of our tripod as Buzzman had to sit this one out. That said, we are getting into some new releases and a unique thread that unites all of them. Something that frustrates us, and we are sure frustrates many of you. Enjoy!

Spence is joined once again by an esteemed guest host. Now 5 time participant on the podcast, @ryanwearswatches, joins to talk about watch alternatives. Whether you are looking at a vintage Constellation vs. a Tissot PRX, a smooth bezel Datejust vs. a Tudor Black Bay 36 on jubilee, there are plenty of good watches to discuss. Spence is very intrigued by a new Seiko 62mas re-edition compared to his own SPB149. Enjoy!

This week's episode is a different vibe from the last two weeks because Spence is back! He is flying solo from a W&W perspective, so he had to call in his wingman from the west coast. Matt McD from Spirit of Time joins to talk about all of the new releases, some cool stuff we have tried on, some collection conundrums, and the problem with watches under $1,500. Enjoy!

This week we are without Spence again. Do not worry, he will be back. BUT! This means you all are treated to our buddy MotorJon! Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

In this week's episode Buzz and Spangler are sans Spence. So I have no idea what was discussed. Enjoy!

On this episode we are thrilled to sit down with co-founder Zac and plank owner Alex to discuss their watch collecting journey. What is neat about this episode is how the collector bug spawned something greater, service for those called to serve. If you haven't heard about AWWC (and if you listen to this and other podcasts we know you have) you should check out what they are doing as a community and charitable organization.

For those of you who listen to the Spirit of Time podcast and Wrist Cheese Radio you will know what we are talking about today. The beverage of choice of one James Bond 007. While it might take us a bit to get there, we promise that we will lean in heavy on the cocktails and heavy on the banter. Enjoy!

This week, we talk bezels! Which bezel is best? Do you prefer timing, time zones, unidirectional, bi-directional, friction, click, or compass? What is your preference? Hit us up!

This episode has a theme. It is surprising it took us this long to have an episode totally dedicated to the unsung integrated bracelet sport watch from Omega, but we finally did it. This one is for the astronomers who share our opinion. Not only do we each feature 3 constellations (that is 9 for those of you keeping score at home) but there is also a gentlemen's agreement, of which we will surely hold ourselves accountable. Enjoy!

So Spence is doing the show notes even though he wasn't here for this one. He also hasn't listened to the episode, just enough to ensure the mix was decent. He IS aware, however, of the topic.  You ever have an expense pop up? Replacing/patching a tire? Leaky faucet? Garage door opener quit on you? Of course, we call have. As an addict...collector, we always tend to think of what watch we would have rather purchased instead with that very specific sum of money.  Enjoy!

In this week's episode we talk recent local travels, specifically to our neighboring state of Kentucky. Spence and the family took in the sights at Keeneland's Spring Meet while Buzz and a buddy sampled the fares in Frankfort. If you are near the area you will enjoy this one!

Stay with us here. While this episode is musically inclined, it isn't what you might expect. Given our preference for different musical instruments, Spangler and Spence talk about how that aspect might either influence or shine a light on how our collections have evolved over time. Another fun conversation we hope you enjoy!

In this week's episode we talk about the concept of a signature watch. While we have collections that speak to what we like, several of us were inspired by one watch associated with an influential figure in our lives. Whether it is a family member, cinematic hero, or public figure, we have one watch that we associate with that person. How does that influence our collection? How do we think about our signature time piece? How do you think about this? Let us know!

This week we have a special guest, our Man in Geneva, @moorewatches. Our buddy was recently at Watches & Wonders, so of course we had to have him on for a chat. Enjoy!

Let's see if that was enough clickbait for everyone. This episode is coming a bit earlier than we all expected because two brands might have dropped some teaser videos. We decided it would be good to publish our reactions to them BEFORE the watches drop on Monday. There is some decent analysis of the Rolex teaser, as you can expect. There is also one SCORCHING HOT TAKE for the Tudor teaser. Let us know what you think!

On this episode we discuss our take on watch shows. Do we need them? Are trade shows necessary? Should you be able to purchase watches at them? All of this and more this week!

We had such a great set of content we had to split it into two episodes. The rest of the gang checks in with their origin stories!

This episode is a two parter, so catch the second one next week! We went to the SPCA Cincinnati with some friends from our local Redbar chapter to have a watch meet, donate and sample a few bottles, and of course talk watches. This was a fun event with a varied group of characters. Some have been on the show in the past, others this is their first podcast. It was an absolute blast getting to do this in person, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

That's right, we made it to episode 151, the highest proof episode yet! Jokes aside, we have some fun pondering what might come out in the next few weeks at an upcoming event known as Watches & Wonders. Dig the alliteration, almost as if someone else thought of that concept first...

We can't believe we have made it to 150! Three years and 150 episodes. Thank you listeners, thank you guests! We wouldn't be where we are without you. It has been a wild ride, but we count ourselves lucky to be continue to be able to hang out with you on a weekly basis. Here's to another 150!

This episode has a bit of a different feel. Spangler is on call, Spence has almost lost his voice, so Buzz is shouldering the load. The discussion here, aside from our many side bars, is the price increases that we have seen over the last two years in the watch industry. Inflation ran hot in 2022, but watch prices ran hotter. We dig into if there are still values out there at MSRP. We realize that luxury goods serve no value purpose, so this is subjective. However, the Midwesterner in us...

This week we have the pleasure of welcoming our buddy Ryan back to the show. Ryan has just made a big purchase, and that has changed his perspective a bit. We talk about the evolution of collecting, the upcoming watch fairs, and how our views change when we finally go after the big one.

This week's episode goes back to where it all began. Richter&Phillips Jewelers in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is where Spence and Buzz met Spangler. This is where the we go our name.  If it wasn't for this, we wouldn't have met the fun crew at Redbar Cincy, and we wouldn't be chatting with @motorjon68 tonight. That would make us very sad. This isn't quite the anniversary episode because not enough hosts were available, but I think this sets up that episode quite nicely. As always, it is a...
