Great pod! Much to ponder on after each listen.
John Heers takes the listener on a comparative journey of two approaches to a topic everyone encounters. John uses his experience travelling to, what "Light People" or enlightenment people, would call 3rd world countries, philosophy, theology and the art of asking questions to compare the old world way of thinking vs this current new way (new since the enlightenment). You will learn something with each episode. You will be challenged. For fans of symbolic thinking, ancient wisdom and humor (we're talking about heavy things.... lightly).Read full review »

This is a smart take on how we got to where we are. Why has no one told me this stuff until now? What does it mean to be human, what’s our end purpose? Listeners will find that those questions sure as heck can’t be answered only through a lens of modernity. Highly recommend.

This is a great podcast that views a variety of topics using theology and history to try to make sense of everything going on in the world today. This podcast uses the lense of Eastern Orthodoxy but also discusses the important old world versus new world distincition.
