Changed my midwifery practice
What a great find! I had a prolapse after my second child and this podcast has helped me feel like I’m not alone! As a midwife I had some vague idea this could happen after childbirth but I had no idea so many people were affected and so young! It has changed the way I talk to women and birthing people postnatally about the importance of doing their pelvic floor exercises, what to do if they have symptoms and that no leakage is normal despite the adverts out there! I’ll be recommending all the students I work with to listen to it. On the postnatal ward we have such limited time to discuss so much that this had become a passing comment. Now I go into much more detail! Thank you!
