“My husband and I started listening to Elizabeth’s podcast because we have a few wine snobs in our life who only drink expensive wines from certain high end wineries and talk down to us about drinking some of the less expensive ones. We’re just trying to have fun and find what we really like and Elizabeth has certainly helped with this. I now have a working knowledge of how to choose what we like and be confident in my choices without relying on critic scores and reviews. I can also now pick out different flavors that we like and boldly state what I’m looking for. As far as the wine snobs, Elizabeth has corrected A LOT of misinformation that we’ve been told about everything from “rules” on holding wines, what wines to buy, and how to select a great wine from a restaurant menu. (They only choose the most expensive bottles because that has to be the very best, right? And then also told us that restaurants only sell wine-by-the-glass for wines that aren’t good and they just pour them down the drain at the end of the night. Ludicrous!) Thank you, Elizabeth for educating and empowering us. We’re having fun drinking and learning about wine and guess what- we took your advice and we’re not tasting with the judgmental people because it really isn’t fun.”
