Mom Calls
I found this podcast a couple weeks ago, right before Christmas. I am a 35 y/o women, mother and wife whose mother passed 10 years ago; doesn’t have a surviving grandmother nor have a mother in law to help guide me in times of life troubles. This podcast has truly been life changing. My father is also no longer with me, though before he passed he did his best to help me but it truly isn’t the same as having a women to go to, more specifically, a mother. My life has truly changed in so many ways since listening to your show. I’ve binged it ever since stumbling across it. I’ve done my absolute best at trying to guide myself the last 10 years and mothering and guiding my daughter without having a mother myself. I have yet to stumble upon someone who could semi-fill those shoes. The emotion I’ve felt and the relief I’ve even felt with some of your episodes have truly helped me. I could not be more grateful for you, Julia. I watched you from when I was just a kid and I’m so happy I get to continue to follow you through this platform. More importantly, the phone calls with your mother nearly bring me to tears because there are so many times I wish I had that with my mother. I personally experience joy and grief and humor in every call. I LOVE the phone calls. I look forward to those the most as I envision all the things I’d want to call my own mother about. There is something truly so special about your relationship with your mother and I live vicariously through your beautiful relationship. You and your guests are truly impactful to me. Thank you!
