Fake news in the reviews section
So as I understand it, rating and reviewing do something to the iTunes algorithm that makes the show pop up on the "hot podcast of the week" section. Remember when we found out that New York Times Bestseller books got the designation by paying for it? By now everyone knows that the BBB "trusted companies" are the ones who paid for their spot on the list. People have been gaming the algorithms since forever. It's not wrong. I'm doing it myself. I've convinced myself that doing my part to nudge the algorithm is worth it. Now my hands are dirty too. That's how they start the brain washing process.Read full review »
