“So as I understand it, rating and reviewing do something to the iTunes algorithm that makes the show pop up on the "hot podcast of the week" section.
Remember when we found out that New York Times Bestseller books got the designation by paying for it? By now everyone knows that the BBB "trusted companies" are the ones who paid for their spot on the list. People have been gaming the algorithms since forever.
