As teammates, leaders, and friends, we can all learn from reflecting on the way that Kate Maloney listens to understand so her students feel empowered and confident in achieving their goals.
*Special Reflection Episode* This is the first recorded episode of season 4 that we decided to post last so we could reflect together with listeners on how far we have already come 6 months later.
Kate Maloney’s Bio:
Kate Maloney is an artist, special education teacher, athlete, and most of all someone who truly cares about helping people and making them feel understood and seen. As a teacher, she works with the curriculum to design goals for special education children to be able to succeed. The question that she cares about answering is, how can I best help the ones who don’t fit the “one size fits all” mold of our school system? The best answer she has found is to be willing to listen.
Reflecting and Strengthening Key Questions:
How important is it that we have everything planned out? Do we need all the answers?
Where do you draw happiness from?
Who’s opinions really matter and how do you stay focused on them?
Host - Rob Maloney:
