Words fail me - unlike Word
Begun in the golden days of Word Magazine, evolving through Word In Your Ear nights in Islington, and now, courtesy of lockdowns, back to its roots of two cocoa tins and a bit of string, Mark Ellen and David Hepworth are the rock raconteurs par excellence. I was there for the first one and I shall doubtless still be listening when I turn up my toes. A national treasure, not to be missed.

This is by far the best pod on the interesting but ludicrous world of popular music. I get jolly fretful if it’s posted late and make sure I’m good and settled before I listen.

I’ve known David and Mark for something like 35 years, yet never tire of their own version of what I believe young people today call “bants”. Endlessly entertaining, always fresh. And free. What more could you ask?
