Informative, educational and important.

It’s a crime that what we call history is simply hagiography of 1% of the population. This podcast is valuable in the effort to turn the tide. I hope working class history will be taught in classrooms in coming decades, not just the lives & careers of kings & generals.

This podcast has — from the first episode I listened to — quickly become one of my very favorites. I’ve shared multiple episodes — and never joined a Patreon so quickly— bc I simply —instantly— had to hear some of the archived and bonus episodes referenced by the show. It’s an addictive pleasure...Read full review »

In the last two episodes on Fletcher, you make numerous references to episode 6, but it’s not in Apple Podcasts.

Essential listening for anyone interested in the truth. A welcome contrast to many “great posh old white men” historical narratives.

I am grateful to know about these moments in history that have not received the attention they deserve. I also really enjoy the way these important stories are researched and shared. Thanks for your efforts.

Very nice to find a podcast that offers a good look into the past events without reactionary leninist whitewashing.

I just finished their series on the Gwanju Uprising and I can’t overstate how invested I was in the story! Discussing histories that are often overlooked by the media and popular culture is how we keep the lessons taught from those who lived through it alive

Now in the time of rampant worker exploitation and destruction of organized labor, there is very few podcasts out there with equal importance. Check 'em out and subscribe.Read full review »

After a few teething issues in early episodes, WCH has become more professional and is now essential listening. Superb guests and analysis of historical events.

This podcast is one of my all time favourites. As someone who generally considered themselves as clued up on the history of grassroots anti-racist and left-wing movements, this pod made me realise there is still so much that I don’t know. All complicated terms are explained in an easy to...Read full review »

This is a wonderful resource illustrating the struggles of working class people of all stripes. There is typically vivid testimony from people who lived through the events, cleverly structured into a narrative, backed by careful research and with commentary giving background context. This is a clear, well-researched and executed podcast that is doing important work for a better understanding of working people’s history and the blood sweat and tears spilled that is far too often glossed over or attributed to the benevolence of the powers that be. Does a wonderful job of being accessible without skimping in detail - don’t need a PhD in left wing history to follow the stories, but doesn’t skimp on detail. Clearly a well researched labour of love, deserves to be heard.
