Dave Pynt is the chef patron of the modern barbeque restaurant Burnt Ends in Singapore. He was Born in Perth, Western Australia, and studied cooking before travelling overseas to cook with some of the world’s best chefs. His career includes time with chefs like Rene Redzepi at Noma, Copenhagen, Victor Arguinzoniz at Asador Etxebarri, Spain and Nuno Mendes, London.   Since Burnt Ends opened in 2013, the restaurant has established itself as one of Singapore’s most iconic restaurants, and moved from the first location in Chinatown to bigger premises in the green Dempsey Hill neighbourhood.   In this podcast, Dave Pynt will tell us about his fascination of using wood as fuel for cooking food and the challenges it brings. We will also hear about the journey that made him one of the leading names in open fire cooking.
