If you are looking for a podcast that will almost bore you to death with how informational it is then this is the one for you! Now you might think I say “bore” as a bad thing but if you are a true history nerd then you know that boring is actually just a testament to how good the content is. It...Read full review »

Very informative and excellent that the podcast goes through a lot of subjects about the war that doesn’t get talked about in different WW1 podcasts. Way to go 👍👍

Concise and easy to absorb. If you missed something, very easy to go back and pick up what you missed as the information is presented in a relatively condensed and listener friendly format. I appreciate the folks who put this together. It is very enriching.

My father served in both World War I and World War II. He trained as a pilot in France during world war one and he reenlisted right after D day. He retired from the Air Force when I was very young, around 1953. I treasure his letters to and from family members during theFirst world war. Dana...Read full review »

Appreciate the diversity of topics and the audio upgrades they’ve made through the years. Something for everyone!

The compressor they use to drown out noise sounds like someone flipping on and off a switch in some of the podcasts. Woodrow Wilson episodes are unlistenable.

My grandfather was in the 302 center tank corps in a picture taken before shipping out to France 1916. He was a farm boy from Illinois when he joined. They had ask the recruits if any knew how to drive a tracker or automobile. His family had a steam tractor or two back on the farm , so he’d...Read full review »

These are not long, but do cover a lot of lesser known side stories and unthought of aspects of WW1. Good if you know a lot of the basics and are intrigued by some of the more intricate details. Some of the audio in the interviews and symposium recordings could be better.

I really enjoy these podcasts. I just recently found this podcast and I’ve listened to almost all of them in a matter of a few weeks. I really like the subject matter and find the topics very interesting, but some of the speakers they taped, are very hard to listen to. They move away from the mic...Read full review »

Narrator has very good cadence and concise voice, and I have high standards. This was a very good podcast. I'm sorry that it's over. Thank you for making it. I'm going to search for other podcasts by this group.Read full review »

Interesting information, but would benefit from a less stilted delivery and maybe a co-host or discussions with scholars. Sounds like it is a book being read by a 12 year old who never introduces him or herself or shows any personality.

I am so happy such a succinct and informative podcast concerning the first world war has been started. Just a note to the MacArthur Memorial, the Olympia episode won't download. Can't wait till it is fixed.Read full review »

For such an important subject, I have struggled to find quality podcasts covering the first world war. As we approach the centenary of the commencement of hostilities in a conflict that decimated a generation, marked the culmination of 19th century imperialism and sowed many of the seeds for the...Read full review »
