Today we are talking about the man's ability to have close friendships. Are low maintenance friendships just an excuse for men not to connect with each other properly? Less than half of men report that they are satisfied with their friendships, and only about 1 in 5 said they had received emotional support from friend in the last 2 weeks. Today we had a chance to talk to Tunji Adebayo aka The Most Blessed Man Alive regarding his dream to build a community of 100 black men to commit themselves to Flow State through his company Rhyme LLC. Last year Tunji set out on a journey to post an inspirational message on his social media platforms for everyday of the year. We discuss how the Gen Z generation is one that has not had the luxury of growing up without social media. We talk about what that means from a mental health standpoint. What does your support structure look like? Who do men call when they are in a bad mental space, bad relationship space, bad financial space? Today we are talking about the support structure for men as they go through life and what it looks like to have healthy support structures. We are encouraging men not to wait until they need support to develop a support structure of people that can help them, listen to them, and potentially talk them off the ledge if need be.
