You Definitely WON’T Hate This Podcast
Easily the best thing about this podcast is the banter. Stephanie and Hannah are clearly good friends with a long shared history and a special bond. Out of that mix comes a lot of laughter, funny comments, and shared stories that makes the journey through each of the books they discuss more enjoyable. There’s nothing pedantic about this podcast… well, almost nothing. Hannah often plays the role of the scholar and Stephanie the writer. These personas sometimes lead them into the weeds. But even when they wander off-topic, they’re clearly having a good time and so is the listener. I’m not in the same generation or gender as these women, and so at times I “eye-roll” a bit at some of the social commentary. I know, I know — “okay, boomer.” However, their discussions of the books themselves are so interesting that I’ve purchased several and have enjoyed them. I enjoy listening to two articulate people speak with passion about the books they love, and try to persuade their friends to love them too. If you do too, then you definitely WON’T hate this podcast!

I like the fun banter, the different ways the hosts think about books, stories and writing. I love that after listening, I am inspired to read different genres and appreciate what they have to offer. Looking forward to reading the books for the upcoming episodes and seeing how my opinions compare!

It’s not just a book review, they dive deep into the books and bring in their personal experiences while also doing a great job of remaining socially conscious. I’ve got a long list of books to read because...Read full review »

The friendship of the two hosts makes their discussion fun to listen to, and disagreements never become defensive. The respect for differing opinions increases over time—especially in the 7th and 8th episodes after the hosts discuss genre and style. I really appreciate hearing dual perspectives...Read full review »
