Easily the best thing about this podcast is the banter. Stephanie and Hannah are clearly good friends with a long shared history and a special bond. Out of that mix comes a lot of laughter, funny comments, and shared stories that makes the journey through each of the books they discuss more...Read full review »

Stephanie and Hannah do a great job of making their content engaging, no matter the book. It’s not just a book review, they dive deep into the books and bring in their personal experiences while also doing a great job of remaining socially conscious. I’ve got a long list of books to read because...Read full review »

All I want from a podcast is someone to agree with my hot takes and someone to yell at in my car. This podcast gives me both. ALL THE STARS!

I love experiencing the dynamic between you both!! You are both high energy, yet analytical. This is so fun to listen to and it helps me navigate which books I might be into. I’m encouraged to read again!

The friendship of the two hosts makes their discussion fun to listen to, and disagreements never become defensive. The respect for differing opinions increases over time—especially in the 7th and 8th episodes after the hosts discuss genre and style. I really appreciate hearing dual perspectives...Read full review »

I like the fun banter, the different ways the hosts think about books, stories and writing. I love that after listening, I am inspired to read different genres and appreciate what they have to offer. Looking forward to reading the books for the upcoming episodes and seeing how my opinions compare!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the podcast and hearing Hannah and Stephanie’s reviews. I am an avid reader, but can’t say I have ever read “critically”. I may be a bit partial 🤭since I know and love both of the hosts dearly!

While learning about the books is fun, the best thing about this podcast are the conversations between two friends who often disagree. The discussions are wholesome, thought-provoking, charming, and (let’s face it) often hilarious. A fresh new angle for the book-podcast enthusiast!

Two extremely charming hosts with voices so similar even they cannot tell each other apart.

YMHTB is the highlight of my Monday. As an avid reader with diverse taste, it is fun to hear Hannah and Stephanie’s take on the book each week. I have added books to my to read list and can’t wait to hear what book they might hate next. Even when hating a book, they have a great respect for each...Read full review »

Interesting study in differing views on literature. Critical, analytical, and humorous. Hosts have a good rapport and are comfortable expressing their views honestly with each other. You begin to feel more like you are the listening party in an intriguing conversation at a coffeehouse table...Read full review »

You Might Hate This Book is my new favorite podcast! Light hearted, thought provoking, and broadening my reading horizons! I love the thorough discussion of each book without giving too many spoilers away so you can still listen if you haven’t read it yet. The hosts are charming to listen to, I...Read full review »
