I genuinely this podcast because it helps my mood and also provokes thoughtfulness on controversial issues. I don’t always agree with Stephanie but I like listening to her perspective. And I appreciate her willingness to be open minded. And her excellent questions of guests. I highly recommend...Read full review »

I love this podcast because it relies on reality and outcomes. Not sloganeering.

I’ve been listening to a lot of that kind of content lately and I must say I really love this podcast. The host is calm and has a relaxing approach to hot issues, shows a lot of empathy for her guests and is extremely well read. I’m learning a lot.

These podcasts have been immensely helpful to me as I take a critical look at my long time progressive/liberal background and step back a bit from the more rigid, polarized ways of understanding cultural issues that seem so pervasive these days. The interviews have helped me to be more...Read full review »

I love hearing this podcast. Stephanie is smart, clear and insightful. As a fellow Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I can attest that she is ethical and knowledgeable.

I am a concerned trained psychologist who has read Winn’s parent group recommendations & they are unethical/borderline abusive. I don’t think there is any empathy coming from Winn…this show’s goal is the “therapist is trying to cash in & become famous” by taking advantage of the...Read full review »

This is first epidsode of your podcast I have listened to and I hesitate to write this because I think the responses will be some form of name calling. I agree that when we vote for a President we are not necessarily endorsing all thier policies. For example, I think Biden relies on votes from...Read full review »

What a great podcast that demonstrates the therapy profession is not entirely occupied by activists rather than open minded non judgemental practitioners

Wynn brings forward many deep and complex issues in each episode but this episode with Cynthia and Zac brings so much more including their project at the Paradox institute which sounds like it will bring the resources that everyday people need to start to understand and navigate the complexities...Read full review »

But there is little substance to promote self assurance. Too many people are taught to perceive themselves as victims, but this is never discussed. Is it more “establishment” garbage or just a victim consoling victims because the Therapist is unable to think critically?

This podcast is my new favorite. I’ve always been fascinated by psychology and this is a good mix of accessible and technical concepts. It could help people deal with their own lives or better deal with others.

Stephanie is stepping outside of the groupthink to challenge how our profession (Mental Health) has gone horribly wrong. She is open to difficult conversations, and I’ve watched her grow since she launched her podcast. She is extremely knowledgeable, and is simultaneously open to learning new...Read full review »

Ms. Winn is a real therapist. I started listening to the show to learn more about trans issues, and it has not disappointed. Thank you, Ms. Winn, for your careful thought and courageous words challenging the current, insane craze to "transition". As a retired physician, I look on with horror at the medical interventions involved with so-called transitions. This is clearly an atrocity that needs to be...Read full review »

By far one of the most important podcasts de jour. Stephanie Winn knocks it out of the park with the selection of guests and topics. This podcaster uses her title as a therapist largely as a way to share her political views, and sometimes links those beliefs to the field of therapy. In listening to her, what I realized over time was that she is using it as an Avenue to have political discussions, ones that raise significant...Read full review »

I was so hoping for a thoughtful perspective of different ideas as a fellow mh provider. I’ve got questions about trans issues as well but it was embarrassing listening to Winn and Belcher pretend to know about history, social issues or mental health. Yikes!

Star ratings for podcasts seem inherently silly. Since the format takes so much time, why would anyone listen to anything less than five stars, unless niche podcasts on some topic were a hobby? Don’t be fooled by defamatory critics. Activists these days call everything they don’t like, “racist,” “homophobic,” “transphobic” to get what they want. They’re like wizards who think they can cast a spell. Won’t work.
