Heat illnesses are unfortunately a very common occurrence on the tennis court.  They not only affect us physically, but mentally they can lower our ability to perform 100% when we decide to push through them rather than stop.   On this episode Dr. Caitlin Prickett and I discuss the three most common heat related illnesses, dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.  We discuss the causes, the symptoms, the consequences and how to avoid all this by being proactive when we start experiencing any of the symptoms while we are playing.
