“YWA has been great way to start discovering topics over the last few years - the episodes would act as a primer, building your knowledge from the ground up while also clearing up common misconceptions. There was a sense of drive, relevance and urgency behind each episode, even where the topics were historic. But I worry that nowadays the structure of the show assumes prior knowledge, sometimes a lot of prior knowledge, on top of which the discussion progresses in broad strokes rather than framing the discussion with a clear chronology. I love Sarah’s writing and work on You Are Good, and I admire that she is carrying on the good work with You’re Wrong About. But as a non-American I struggled to follow the Martha Stewart episode because of the assumptions that currently underpin how the show is made. I’m sorry, I hope that makes sense”
