More tactics please
The episodes we’ve had so far have been interesting, and the rotating guests provide good context. But I feel they are coming up on short on the ‘tactical and technical details’, as Michael Cox is not given enough room to expand on the snippets of analysis which he does give, eg. Marcelo’s positioning in Germany’s 7–1 win. A promising start, but room for improvement with a bit more focus on the pod’s raison d'etre.Read full review »

I eagerly wait for their episode to come out every week. Brilliant podcast.

Michael Cox is obviously fantastic. Brilliant insight! But my god the host is grating. I don’t want to be mean, but the host is letting down the podcast. Too much interruption and the show is too structured! Let it flow more.

Otherwise the podcast is awesome. In the late 70s the idea of a curse was created from a mistranslated interview. The story of the curse makes no sense, and even Guttmann himself tried to win the ECC with Benfica again in 1966.
