For a long time, I’ve been fascinated as to how do we make our decisions? Are they always strategic? Does our instinct win when making the choices?
To explore this intriguing topic, Phil was once again joined by three more wonderful humans from within the IOH membership in Luca Rapetti, AIH, Debbie Pugh MIH and Andrew Walker FIH.
We once again learned some of the reasons our guests said I’m In to the IOH including, it was the right thing to do, to broaden their network, to have a positive influence on the industry, to develop self and others, to be part of something passionate and dedicated and to get more connected with the industry.
In one of our deepest conversations so far, our guests had so much great content to share that it feels like we only scratched the surface of this subject. Ideas included: -
Setting goals and working towards them is very useful but be ready to deviateExperience plays a huge part in forming your instinctIt depends on the situation as to whether you go more instinctive or strategicStrategy is written in a moment in time, instinct is in the momentIt’s important teach people to trust and make instinctive decisionsNail your skills and knowledge first and you will have confidence to make strong instinctive decisionsThere are moments in career and business when you have to use both instinctive and strategic decision making
A huge thank you to our guests for giving up their time and opinion.
Enjoy!
