...Well done for interviewing the legend Billy West. Then Ken starts talking about a broken hose incident for 6 minutes straight while Billy listens. Could you keep it relevant?

Ken is a really great host. He takes the time to listen to his guests and seems to really make them feel comfortable. He is also knowledgeable in all things nerd himself which is awesome, and asks questions that I want asked. Love it, new subscriber here!

Ken’s easy style and genuine interest in the people he speaks with makes this one of the best interview podcasts around. There is a large back-catalogue of episodes, all certain to entertain. One of the best treats amongst these is the complete collection of annual interviews with John...Read full review »

Plume interviews people he's interested in. I happen to be interested in a lot of the same people. The free format "with no agenda" goes places structured interviews don't, and it's at those moments--when interviewees expect an edit--that lends the listener of this podcast a unique perspective...Read full review »

I enjoy the podcasts, but I don't see why Ken deleted his chats with Alex Day, they were very good but now I can't enjoy them again!

Every single interview goes places no interview has gone before, and you learn so much more about the subjects than you ever thought possible. Ken knows how to push his interviews to new and exciting places every single time. A must listen!

Ken, you've wrangled some great guests (I'm thinking MST3K cast) but wow, you're a horrible chatter/interviewer. Your awkward attempts at humor and the subsequent silence after, is epic. You sound like a nice guy and I'm guessing you have compromising photos of all your guests that you extort.

I listened to several episodes of Ken Plume. A couple were OK but most of them consist of directionless noodling. They usually begin cold with no introduction of the guest for several minutes. I guess I'm not in the target demographic for this show so a lot of the guests are complete strangers to...Read full review »

Ken Plume has access to some incredible comedy writers, directors, actors, producers...let's just say, comedic creative types. Some are very familiar to podcast listeners- your Paul F. Tompkinses, your DC Piersonses, your John Hodgemans. But others who are not so high-profile like Tom...Read full review »

The only issue that I'd have with this at all is that Ken likes the sound of his own voice a bit too much sometimes, laughing at his own jokes a lot and sometimes interrupting a guest. Otherwise it is definitely worth a listen

Listening to A Bit of a Chat is sort of like eavesdropping on a conversation. Sometimes more formal and interviewey, at other times like a stroll down memory lane or a silly phone call with an old friend. I have discovered amazing things through Ken Plume. One of my favourite podcasts.

Great, long interviews.

I admire Ken's comfort talking with celebrities but it seems like often too much of the recording is Ken coming up with his own comedic premises and keeping the guest riffing on them, which seems a little bit self-indulgent. At least that's the way this Paul Feig interview is seeming. Ken keeps...Read full review »

Ken Plume is a great interviewer. The informal nature of this show is great as it lets you get to know the guest in a different light. He has some really great guests on. Ken Plume is one of the most knowledgable, intelligent, funny and geeky interviewers I've ever heard. Don't let this show's long running time fool you. If conversation is an art, then Ken Plume is Michelangelo, or at the very least, and perhaps more appropriately, Heironymous Bosch. Given his characteristic (and terribly endearing) low self-esteem, he would no doubt blusteringly protest such praise; nonetheless he is masterful. His discursive...Read full review »

This is so infuriatingly close to be an exceptional, must-listen podcast. Ken asks some great questions and the guests, on the whole, seem comfortable answering with great candour. As a devoted fan of the wonderfully imaginative NBC TV series Community I was thrilled to discover that Ken Plume had interviewed many of the creative people who make the show (behind and in front of the camera) what it is. Ken Plume is the master of chat. His guests are always intresting, perhaps not a-list celebrities but that doesn't matter. Let me put it this way, Ken Plume is the most reliable interviewer ever made. Ken Plume has never made a mistake or distorted information. He is, by any practical definition of the word, Fan-tastic.
