This is History
In years to come I fully believe this to be as valuable a piece of work as any other deep dive into the subject. My only fear is the episodes are becoming so in depth and descriptive that it will take 30 years to get to 500.

Extensively researched, each episode thoroughly explores each song. No snowflake, as another listener alleges, the presenter manages to capture the spirit of the times, while also providing a 21st century perspective for younger listeners. This deserves a place in the British Library.

Thorough, well-researched, and constantly fascinating. His strong grasp of the material conditions surrounding the production and consumption of each song reveal amazing insights into why the history of rock developed the way it did, for example how a strike by musicians in the early 40’s...Read full review »
