Description
[Correction]: In an MI (or other ischaemic heart disease), the zone of necrosis spreads from the subendocardium outwards towards and through the myocardium. Silent, but violent (not referencing Shaun's farts), hypertension is a key factor in the development of many pathologies affecting not only the cardiovascular system, but other organs such as the kidneys and brain.
