Big fan of Anna Leask, however the podcast can leave much to be desired. Can get frustrating when you turn on an episode that could be up to an hour long, and instead of telling you the nitty gritty details - they refer you to the NZME website. (Not even a link in the description, just,...Read full review »

I enjoy having a local podcast that covers cases from Aotearoa, but there are a few things which could be improved. Firstly, the episodes are quite formulaic - following very similar structures each time. The editing also leaves a lot to be desired, with some sections just being randomly...Read full review »

The best true crime podcast out there. Anna reports professionally and sympathetically, without including the waffly conjecture that predominates other more amateur journalism. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning the facts of crimes committed in New Zealand

I am sitting in my garden surrounded by flowers , bees and butterfly’s with tears running down my cheeks , snot running from my nose and choking on the absolute the horror this woman describes . I will never mention his name . I’m beyond belief how a mother could allow this to happen and the...Read full review »

Great story but did a child do the editing? What was with the broken sound clips, poorly covered stitches and the ads coming in the middle of a sentence?

Great podcast on NZ crime, my only feedback is that it would be amazing if the host could work on her pronunciation of te reo Māori kupu as i feel this is very important given it is an Aotearoa based podcast.

Really enjoying the pod cast, I especially enjoyed the latest which was of the Martin Berry trial. I’d never really heard the way a court process is run, felt like I was there and was very interesting. Keep up the good work JB from Australia

I’ve been looking for some time for a professional, factual New Zealand crime podcast to listen to and this definitely ticks all the boxes. Although for some reason there are repetition errors within the podcast, with a block of audio often being repeated, on the whole it is produced very well...Read full review »

With access to so many first responders and key personalities, this cast’s mediocrity and brevity are a bit baffling. A little more preparation and curiosity would be great.

Disappointed in edits of last two episodes, wrong name referenced in Mullane case (referenced her Mum instead of Grace) and Kahui case a few sentences duplicated. Expected more from a reputable source like NZME

I was very much looking forward to listening to a well produced NZ crime podcast and although this is far and away one of the better attempts, the self indulgence regarding the reporting of the crimes was a bit much. The first episode about the Christchurch Terror Attack was a prime example....Read full review »

Aussies and NZers really know how to spin a story with sharpness and compassion. Good stuff here.

Eager to find out the details about the LUNDY case, I listened intently until half-way in, the narrator explained that the evidence was “too complex” to go into. The narration was interrupted too often by recommendations to “go to the NZ Herald website” for more details. Seemed as though they...Read full review »

Keen for a kiwi podcast to investigate ambiguous infamous New Zealand cases; however, this serious is patchy, leaving big holes in each story, tells you what to think...each time a disappointment

So good to find a professional-sounding , well-put-together New Zealand crime podcast! I wish episodes were released more often, but makes each month rather exciting as I wait for the notification!

E kī, the stories are well researched but the pronunciation of te reo māori is painful.
