Good knockabout fun
I'm sure there are plenty of dry academic dissections of M R James' stories in print and online so it was good to find something more in keeping with my sense of humour. I've loved his stories since I was a lad (now 41) and as someone else commented it was like a couple of mates chatting about them. Although thye do have a laugh and (gently) take the mick out of some elements of the stories, there is genuine love for the tales behind it. I highly recommend them if you have a good knowledge of the stories but don't take yourself (or them) too seriously. It's also one of those podcasts where you feel you could contribute fairly safely as well. Maybe there's a chance of a listeners input via Skype or other means chaps?Read full review »

Just want to congratulate the podcasters for their amusing and informative discussions about M R James' stories. As a keen fan of the stories myself, it's like sitting in on a chat with a couple of mates who don't take themselves too seriously. Keep up the good work!Read full review »
