Brilliant In Every Way
“A Scary Home Companion” is one of the very best Horror Podcasts - and I know that’s a very bold statement to just throw out there in an off-handed way... so let me try and explain my position as quickly as possible: There are thousands of Horror Podcasts, many of which are good, to great - but Home Companion is actually UNIQUE ... and in the Horror category, that is incredibly rare. Because Scary Home Companion is many things - documentary, mockumentary, serialized horror within anthology horror, paranormal examination one week, a look at a depraved fictional serial killer the next week, and then they envision what Hell might be like after that. The writing, sound production, and narration are all top drawer - and almost every time I finish an episode I feel amazed at how good a podcast this is - and wish that it was higher up in the rankings... More horror aficionados just need to find out about this show, I think: And I’m convinced that fans of the genre will fall in love with it just like I did. Many thanks and big love to everyone involved in the making of Scary Home Companion - I’m so grateful for its existence, and the entertainment it’s given me on many a late sleepless night ~ ❤️🌘

I expected this podcast to be like most the other horror podcasts. All telling the same story over and over. I was wrong. This is an actual horror story podcast. Amazing writing, amazing narrative. Two thumbs way up, 5 out of 5 stares, 100 %, gold star etc.....

As you listen, you are taken to a place where seemingly random stories keep connecting, and names and characters become familiar. You end up rooting for some on either side of the story and want to share it with some of your closest (and darkest) friends so you can analyze together. Thank you...Read full review »
