Just plain fantastic. Clearly one of the best presenters... You can hear the passion for the subject matter. Focused on the important events, you move through a great narrative with skill. He even takes in some of the myth and minor happenings that color the story. All this with good humor and minor ramblings. He speaks Japanese! so names and places are never butchered. One of my favorites.

More reviews of A Short History of Japan Podcast
Any fan of history wanting to expand their knowledge of Japan's storied history need look no further. The only criticism I can level at it is that it should be longer so that some of the locations/people/conflicts could be given more detailed descriptions. Well done!
