I was so excited to have found this podcast, I expected to love it and it has so many great reviews. I've tried a few episodes and oh my goodness, I couldn't like it less. The hosts drive me crazy, they universalise their own experience across time and space, in short they assume the world is exactly as they experience it, whether they're talking historic period or different countries. The US is not the same as the UK, cities developed differently and had different planning rules. In the 1980s UK inner cities were not the sites of leisure they are now, you didn't go there to eat, they were often racially divided sites pf poor husing and in the early part of the decade riots... Should I really have to point this out? I'm afraid this is an example of middle (upper) class white men universalising their own limited experience to comment, often disparagingly, about their subject.Read full review »

So happy to finally find a well researched and entertaining architecture podcast, keep it going! Some strange pauses and editing but nothing too distracting.

Luke & George capture a unique insight into the world of Architecture and theory. Good ideas and points of discussion that always leads to a bigger picture idea. :)
