I don’t know what happened to ATP but the episode lengths have increased whilst the ‘tech’ content has reduced, unless you mean cameras, phone cases, audio, furniture and other vagugely tech-related things. Modern ATP comprises repetitive dialogue on recurring themes like Siri, Radar and ...Read full review »

These might not be happy people, but sometimes you just want to hear people rant about a topic of interest, and these three friends can rant with the best of them! They do tend to repeat a lot of the same complaints over and over, and sometimes they invent explanations that are proven wrong and...Read full review »

And Casey’s piling on! (Drinking game: take a swig whenever Casey calls something Apple says or does “gross.”) While John’s pedantry used to essentially be played for laughs, the Hypercritical one is now the only sane member of the triumvirate reining in his two cohosts when they go off the...Read full review »

Every episode is essentially the same: over 2 hours of the hosts constantly talking about all the things they hate about Apple. Occasionally one of them will break in to remind the audience that they actually love Apple, so they don’t lose subscribers, but then it’s right back to the hate. This...Read full review »

My favorite tech podcast. Marco, Casey and John are my kind of people. Been listening for the past 3 years and will keep listening. Wish there was an easy way to catch up with older episodes.

I was a huge fan for since the beginning. I purchased T shirts, subscribed to Overcast, and even was able to say Hi to John at PAX East a few years back when I randomly saw him. But since the injection of politics over the last 4 years I can no longer listen to this. I don’t need to listen to...Read full review »

I don’t know what happened to this show. It used to be a must-listen but now I skip most segments because they’re so repetitive and boring. Too many topics span multiple shows for no good reason; nothing of value is added. And of course Casey’s constant stream of apologies, caveats, and bad...Read full review »

Used to love this show. But over time the hosts have become more and more disconnected from average people in their condescending and sometimes insulting ways they discuss things, up to and including random rants on politics. They view it as some moral requirement to lecture the audience on...Read full review »

Left a long time ago. Saw there was a segment on knob-based microwaves. Came back for that segment, which was great. Leaving again.

Bit rude how heavy you go on how much we should donate, just saying. Edit: and now I’m listening to you guys go on about something that has nothing to do with tech and telling me murdering children is bad. Not a tech podcast, I have no clue what this is. Boomer rants?

Topics are always fun for Apple fans. However, Marco and Casey really struggle getting to a point even if you’re playing the podcast at 2x—just endless parentheticals and side stories to the point where you forget what they’re talking about.

This show used to be great. Then they got caught up in politics and virtue signaling too much. Aside from raising money for St Jude, they don’t contribute anything to make the world better even though they think their mere existence as woke white men makes up for their whiteness. I’d like to see...Read full review »

Over the past four years or so ATP has declined substantially in content and relevancy. There’s way too much about Marco’s living conditions, his car, his travails using the ferry. John’s rants have become longer and even less focused. As a result he’s entering into the old man waving his cane at...Read full review »

I starting listening to this show for the tech, but lately it seems like it’s a lot of complaining, and begging for people to become a paying member. This weeks episode was all about how the ad market is so down right now, and how they depend on members. Maybe it’s just coincidence, but their...Read full review »

The Incidental Tech Podcast - when they talk about tech by accident (rather than re-iterating politics and group-think social theories) A European listener’s perspective: gave up a while back when it became 90% politics. I started to listen to this podcast only a couple or years ago and I’m loving it more and more everyday. I used to love this show, however it seems like most of the show topics end up in complaining about how things aren’t good enough for them. It had a good run.

ATP is my favourite podcast 20% of the time and an unlistenable airing of grievances by a few rich white men 80% of the time. I wish they’d focus on quality of content more so that 20% was easier to find. I could see how they might conclude from the success of Hypercritical that we enjoy a gripe...Read full review »

I miss it when this was tech and cars. It’s now way too much virtue signaling. Even when I agree with their political positions, the self righteousness is unbearable. Use to be good. Have a good knowledgeable audience, best part. Now days is only complaining about Elon musk etc. Political stuff l. Siracusa got politically extreme. if you don’t share his view of the world you’re a bad person. I guess he doesn’t have mirror.

It covers such a broad range of topics it is actually useful. They’ve talked about cures for dry hands cracking in winter, diet things and of course Apple and the technology. Any episode could go just about any direction - but it’s enjoyable coverage and I wouldn’t miss an episode.

I’ve listened to almost every episode, and really like ATP for the tech content.
