I just discovered this podcast while searching for “Wang Many” and so started at the very beginning. It’s a wonderful way to trip through time. Ever click on a year entry in Wikipedia and keep clicking next - next - next watching the years flow by? The two are good conversationalists and good...Read full review »

I just began listening after Patrick mentioned it on Name Explain and I was hooked! I’ve binged my way through season 1 and just started season 2. I had graduated college spring 2020 and finding this podcast has helped me scratch my learning itch that I’ve missed. PKD and Patrick have a great...Read full review »

... plus "two guys talking" dynamic, which differentiates it from a Dan Carlin or Mike Duncan podcast. Can't wait until they get into the AD 200-300 time range. Cool to think they give each century 10+ hours of discussion.Read full review »

Every time I listen to this podcast I learn something new. I find myself looking forward to it each month. I love the rules of the podcast. It’s a great way to look back at the and different times. Keep doing what you’re doing, gentlemen. Look forward to hearing for you soon.

This is my new podcast for 2020! I’ve listened to a fair number of podcasts with a focus on history and I think AD History brings a fresh perspective, not only on its format of looking at each decade but by highlighting the lesser known topics in the period. The hosts, Paul and Patrick,...Read full review »

Wow really you delete my comment because of one star? No wonder you have a 5.0 rating . For those that care here is my original review. I had really high hopes for this podcast and was really excited about the format. Unfortunately, the hosts don’t make it work. Paul seems to pontificate and...Read full review »

Been listening since episode 1 and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s so rare to find historians who judge figures and events by the standards of their time. Also I can’t believe my comment got read out 😅.

Co-hosts, Paul K. DiCostanzo and Patrick Foote (technically speaking, you’d swear they were in the same studio, not on separate continents) as opposed to lecturing, discuss history with great appreciation and immediacy, without the annoying tendency of many podcasters to continually interrupt one...Read full review »

I love, love, love this idea—and it’s enjoyable listening to the hosts. I’m excited to see how the podcast evolves. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to listen to parts of the latter half because Paul lightly interrupted Patrick and going on long tangents (e.g. a segment on comparing Stalin...Read full review »

These two are incredibly easy and enjoyable to listen to. Both are top notch story tellers, with clear erudition in their subjects. That and they want to take this all the way to the modern day, that is some ambitious stuff!
